Les Mills International
- Les Mills International (LMI) agreed to be part of a video social experiment, testing the reaction of their people to a fake phishing attack
- Results show LMI is doing everything they can to create a culture of awareness and responsibility around information security
- Mid-market IT managed service experts, Origin, deliver the service leveraging the expertise and experience of sister network and security company, Optinet
Since 2009, Origin has been providing IT support and services to Les Mills International.
During this time, a very strong partnership and trust have been built around the delivery of day-to-day support and strategic IT projects (including their migration to the cloud).
At the end of 2015, Origin acquired network and security company Optinet, and has since leveraged their expertise to create security services designed especially for the New Zealand mid-market.
When Steve James, LMI's Global Head of Technology was approached by Origin to be part of a video showcasing Optinet's Joerg Buss' specialised services, he didn't hesitate in agreeing to be involved, as he knew that it would benefit his company by raising the awareness of cyber-threats, testing their defenses and highlighting any gaps they have in their end user education program.
Only Steve and a few of his colleagues on the senior leadership team knew that the attack was going to take place. The results are a great indication of how LMI would fare in a real attack, and help reassure Steve that he is creating a culture of awareness among his employees.
